The Scorpio Races - Maggie Stiefvater "The Scorpio Races" does not offer amazing plot twists, nor immensely touching emotions, nor breathtaking fantasy & epic world. Nothing like that. It's a simple story, with normal people with not-so-huge dreams in an island with a little touch of magic. Yet the storytelling is superb, melody-like and pulls me right away into the life of the island, of Puck and Sean and all these sea horses. I don't remember how many times I put down the book to feel my heart beat and worry for these characters, how many times I ache and desperately wish for a happy ending but can't be sure.

A good read, definitely.
