The Book Thief - Markus Zusak I struggled a lot with this book. Probably many will give it up half-way. At first the narration doesn't make sense to me, and the tone I'm not really fond of, either. The atmosphere is gloomy and everything is so slow.

But I'm glad I stick to it. It made me cry several times, which is extremely rare.

I love the ending. I have to spoil that the ending is in no way happy (the narrator would love to tell you during the book anyway). It satisfies me, and that is good enough.
